It’s that time of year again when the temperature fluctuates back and forth between warm and cold which forces you to wear a jacket in the morning but shed it during the day. The morning and nights are cool but the day can get just as hot as summer. Fall is the season of pumpkin carving, haunted houses, and leaves changing colors. It’s personally my favorite time of the year. It also happens to be the time for football on Friday nights and getting ready for end of the quarter testing.
I can’t speak for everyone when I say I’m excited that Fall is finally here however I know not everyone is ready for Winter, especially the rooms in the school building that make it feel like it’s Winter.
I don’t think any of us have overlooked the chilling temperatures throughout the school, even in the portables. The gym tends to be a hot-spot (see what I did there) of these chilling temperatures in the morning. I always find it just a little bit humorous when I see people carrying around blankets and acting like we’re in the middle of a snowstorm, but in some pods it can definitely feel like that. I’m hopeful that once we get through this in-between season in the weather the heat will fully be on throughout the whole building, however that hasn’t always been the case in years past. I can also attest that most of my classmates would agree on the school building temperatures.
With the season festivities beginning I’m excited to be in school and getting to see everyone. Last year was definitely a less than exciting Fall with most places being closed and people staying home. Maybe this year will be the year we won’t have to dress like it’s snowing outside just to prepare ourselves for walking in the school building.
