The game finished with a score of 65-9, but the team did not let this discourage them and were ready to take on the Red Bank Lions.
“The team played well the second half of the game against GPS. I was proud of the way I played, but was very discouraged that we (the team) were not all on the same page. It is something myself, and the team, are working on,” shared Senior Alissa Walton.
The team later in the week traveled to play against the Red Bank Lions. With the losses from the last few games, Central was determined to win against Red Bank. The Lady Pounders went into the game strong and confident. Central came out on top with the final score of 47-19. The win was a huge confidence boost for the team, and has helped with preparation for future games. Central worked hard and played well, which benefited them in the end.
Harness shared, “Some of the main highlights from the game were when we would do a pitch down court for the fast break lay ups. The pieces are starting to come together now for the team over all.”
