BOYS BASKETBALL TAKES A VICTORY OVER EAST RIDGE — Junior Ryan Glover fights to keep and run the ball

The boys basketball team had a successful start to the week starting with beating the East Ridge Pioneers.

The boys played at East Ridge on Tuesday, December 7th and won this game 47-42. The boys led over East Ridge for most of the game. Freshman Ronye Watson scored 12 points, Senior Noah Collins scored 11 points, and Sophomore Matthew Sharpe finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds.

“The guys went out and played a great game. It was exciting from start to finish,” stated Coach Kantonio Davis.

On Friday, December 10th, they played Chattanooga Christian School at home. This game ended with a close score but, unfortunately, they lost the game with a score of  49-46.

“I feel as if we played as a team, but we didn’t execute as a team. We could have definitely beat them, but we weren’t mentally in the game at the beginning which showed at the end,” shared Senior Noah Collins about the CCS game.

On Tuesday, December 14th, the boys played at home against Signal Mountain. This score was close majority of the game but they ended with a loss with a final score of 53-45.

There was also a game scheduled on Thursday, December 17th against Loudon High School, but this game was cancelled.

Overall, they boys started out the week with a great win against East Ridge, and they also had two close scoring games against CCS and Signal Mountain.
