The Central High School volleyball team, known as the Lady Pounders, is staying strong with a good season. With the season about to end, these ladies have two games left. The Lady Pounders have have won 4 games this and are hoping to make it to state.

“Play with passion and heart,” explained Holly Ware, the head coach of the volleyball team.

The Lady Pounders have set goals for themselves this season and hope to achieve them by being a strong team with charisma. Another goal they have set to be achieved is to go as far as they can go and don’t give up. Communication on the court is vital to the sport of volleyball. The team would like to win their last few games, and take home the trophy as a team. It has to be the team’s goal not just the coach’s goal.

Zariah Mcdonald is considered to be a star player this season in the position of libero.

“I’m really impressed with the way they have come to end their season, especially with this being my first season of coaching,” ellaborated Assistant Coach Tiffany Estep.

Although this is coach Estep’s first year being apart the volleyball team, she loves the sport and wants her team to work hard on the court now, not just as individuals, but as a team. The Lady Pounders are not just about winning, but they want to make sure they accomplish their goals on the court during practice and matches.
