Benchmark testing has been going on, which has brought many annoyances. Students aren’t allowed to go to the restroom during class because of them. Benchmarks have also been causing stress to a few students, though some are content and don’t care.
According to sophomore Kamryn Forehand, her time during benchmarks was good. Forehand put a lot of effort into getting them completed with as good a score as she could and believes she’s done quite well. She added, “I’ve been fortunate enough to only have two different benchmarks to complete and it gives me more peace of mind to think over questions and not feel too stressed.”
Freshman Annalise Stevenson on the other hand was having a harder time. Stevenson has admitted to falling asleep multiple times throughout the benchmarks and suffering from intense boredom after finishing her benchmarks. She said it was hard to concentrate and that “the questions were annoying in general cause I didn’t know what they were asking most of the time.”
Spencer Morales, despite not taking any benchmarks this year, was slightly affected by them. He thought it was “kinda nice since C pod was actually quiet for once.” On the other hand he was annoyed that we weren’t allowed to use the restroom during the benchmark period.
